Cannot get icloud for windows to install properly on Windows 11

iCloud for Windows won't install iCloud was not syncing with Outlook (calendar and contacts). I deleted it and tried to reinstall an older version but that didn't install properly. Tried to repair it -- no luck. Gave up and tried to re-install newer version and now that one won't install either -- get the same error message that it didn't install properly. Tried to repair the newer version and still no luck. I have Windows 11, which is updated. So, now I don't have iCloud on my PC and certainly can't fix the syncing issue with Outlook.

iCloud error "iCloud for Windows did not install properly" I just got a new computer that runs Windows 11. I have not been able to get my Calendar or Contacts to sync through the iCloud from Outlook 2021. When I signed out of the cloud all my data downloaded into Outlook but it will not sync back (no changes are appearing on the cloud). After signing on and out, rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling, now I am getting an error that says "iCloud for Windows did not install properly. To Repair it, you need to go to Apps & Features, select iCloud Outlook from the app list and click Modify. When prompted, click on Repair. I have done that without success. Also have uninstalled and reinstalled again, no good. I have since seen that others are having trouble with Windows 11 and iCloud sync. Any suggestions from anyone? I can't even sync the two by wire on iTunes and am desperate!

Set up and use iCloud for Windows and try the suggestions here. Make sure you meet the requirements to use it on your PC.
