Phantom Heart Rates

Last night when my Apple watch was off my wrist and left on my desk (2000-0800 hrs.) it continued to "measure" Heart Rate displaying HRs ranging from periods of either 95 or 177 bpm. When I put it back on it returned to normal. Any ideas why it did that?

High spikes in Heart rate My Apple Watch has been showing irregular spikes in heart rate, it may be at 85bpm at 3.54pm then 166 bpm at 3.55,20 secs then 90 bpm at 3.56. This is distressing, I already stress over enough things. I have checked with dr and had ecg and checked my heart with cardiac CT. All js normal. its a shame apple can’t put a fix in to check if there is a high reading to check if it’s still at that rate.

Is it normal for Apple Watch to show fluctuating Heart Rates after update? Anyone else have a significant increase in resting heart rate after latest update? I get my usual range in the morning but for some reason Apple Health decides another one at 7:43 or 10:23 pm is needed that is always 10 points higher because of eating or drinking or other activity, and throws out the previous reading. Apple Watch heart rate inaccurate in Apple Fitness + Rowing workouts I have had an ongoing issue with heart rate accuracy when using Apple Watch and Apple Fitness + Rowing workouts. I row while following the Fitness + workouts on Apple TV. This has been an issue for 2+ years, across several different Apple Watch models. My current watch is Ultra 2, but this issue also happened with Series 7. Generally, at the beginning of a Rowing workout, the watch seems to have some difficulty finding a heart rate reading. The display on Apple TV is "grayed out"; then, when a heart rate is detected, it is frequently VERY high. my normal Rowing workout HR is between 90 -110 bpm; frequently the starting heart rate will display between 130 - 180 bpm. I never have that high of a heart rate. Frequently during the early stages of a workout, the HR display will cut out again, then resume (high) and eventually 5-8 minutes into a workout, HR will finally display correctly. The net effect of this is the workout data shows a significantly higher HR than actual. I have had multiple support calls with Apple on this issue; their usual solutions are making sure the watch is on my wrist in the correct spot (it is) and resetting the watch (I have)....but no other suggestions. Also, HR data generally always seems to record correctly with other workouts/activities such as running/walking, etc. Have others experienced this issue? any solutions?
