Upgrade Sierra to Catalina
Attempted to update. When I click on download Catalina, it says downloading but never does anything.

When downloading from Apple it is always best to connect your mac to your router via cable.
Catalina is a large download at 8.24GBs, so it takes a long time.
Do not use the mac while it is downloading or any other devices that share the same internet connection.

I am not sure what the VPN is. What I am concerned with what might be the problem...I had to mail my computer two weeks ago to Apple Repair. And there was this list of things I had to disable before I sent it. I threw away the sheet so I'm not sure what I disabled so I can't undo them.
Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?
