If your iPad is not operating as expected, try a forced-restart - as this will often clear an isolated software issue:
Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)
If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:
If the problem persists after performing the restart, it may be necessary to reset your iPad settings. While this reset will not cause any loss of data, as a precaution, it is always wise to ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup before performing the reset:

When you are happy to proceed, you can perform the reset from iPad settings:
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings
If the problem still doesn’t clear, the next step is to reset the iPad to factory settings:

Otherwise, you would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page. Alternatively and perhaps easier, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:

if it was me then I would make the ipad forget the bluetooth device you attempt to connect to.
then I would put the device back into pairing / discovery mode and pair it once again,.
What I found is that this is a problem only with the BT-200. After the update to 26.0.1, I still had the issue. I called support at AirTurn and I was able to get the BT-500 model at a reduced price and my problem is now resolved. And the BT-500 works better than did the BT-200. I'm a happy camper now!
I am having the same problem. I called AirTurn and they confirmed this is a problem with iPadOS 26. Hopefully, Apple will get this fixed soon.
I am also having Bluetooth connectivity problems since updating to iOS 26. I have an Airturn Bluetooth page turner and it keeps losing the connection when I use it with ForScore. The only way to reconnect is to do so via the Airturn app but as soon as I return to ForScore it soon drops out again. I’ve tried switching everything off and restarting and it makes no difference. Very frustrating.
