I wonder if some of you can help.
I recently bought a new Mac and have reinstalled all my Titles/Transitions etc; they've all appeared correctly and are working fine.
However, when I load up an older library and then the Project inside, the project isn't seeing the installed titles and is giving me error messages (unlinked content) for anywhere the Titles appear.
Do you know what the reason would be for this?

Ahh, I think I've sussed it.
I moved the Titles (and Transitions, Generators, etc) to a different location; from inside the FCPX package contents, to Movies/Motion Templates location. That seems to have done it; perhaps that's where I had them installed previously, so that's where the library was looking?

Maybe the titles that you used in these old projects are not installed.
You should check if the titles used match what you have installed.
Some screenshots might help, as Tom said.
Also: if the problem is a missing title, and you have some other that may work instead, you can drag from the browser onto the one in the timeline, and choose Replace from Start.
This replaces the title but should leave the text alone.
Do the titles appear in the title browser? Is that what you mean by all appeared correctly?
Could you post some screenshots if what you’re seeing?

They seem to have updated their instructions, and they are now almost (but not entirely) correct...
They mention creating Motion Templates.localized, Generators.localized... but omit the required category folder between e.g. Generators and the actual generators.
This was actually what the instructions said from some Titles I purchased.
If Motion was not installed, it was said to do that.
I don't have Motion, so I initially used that method, but I've now gone the other route and created the folders manually.

We now understand why your titles were not appearing.
Can you tell us who is the developer who gave that moronic advice? I have heard there were some, but I have never seen it in writing.
Seems they have correct installation instructions now. BUT, are they the only template vendor that does NOT use an installer app to save you the hassle?

You should NEVER put in or take away anything from inside the application package.
