What should I do if Apple says my trade-in box was empty?

I understand your frustration but this is a user to user forum, no one in here can help you with this. You will have to continue to work with your mail system and Apple.

I sent back my phone via trade in and Apple have received an empty box. I don’t have a receipt as it went into a post box but have proof that it was delivered to them.

I will be contacting Royal Mail in the morning but I’m at a loss and very irritated now!

Your heading in the right direction by contacting Royal Mail, they can do an investigation.
