Convert from WAV to ALAC in the Apple Music app for Windows

I see that iTunes for Windows is being phased out in favor of the Apple Music and Apple Devices apps. So, today I decided to give the new apps a try. One feature in iTunes that I relied on heavily was file conversion. In iTunes, I used to be able to select a WAV file, then click "File > Convert > Create Apple Lossless Version".

Do the new apps offer such functionality or will I have to stick with good old iTunes for now?

One of many missing features in Apple Music for Windows when compared to iTunes, or even AM for Mac. Revert to iTunes now. Uninstall whichever of the new apps you have installed to restore functionality to iTunes which is otherwise limited to managing audiobooks and podcasts.
