iPod touch 5th generation was compromised. Anything I could do?

I just found my old iPod touch 5th gen after 7-8 years of losing it. After charging it, I saw that had kind of the soft lock that an iPhone has when it’s in lost mode, and the text says to email an address that doesn’t belong to Apple. (Apple.pass@mail.com). After I try to enter a password, it locks me out after one try and disabled my iPod for 30 minutes. Is there anything I can do to access my iPod without wiping all data? I believe that I used my current Apple ID in that iPod, but I deleted it from my devices a long while ago because I thought I lost it. Don’t think that would help because someone obviously changed the Apple ID. Feeling kinda hopeless, any ideas on how to fix?

No sorry 😢 you have 1 option, which is jailbreaking the iPod, but I would not recommend it unless you absolutely need the files.

”Apple strongly cautions against installing any software that modifies iOS. It is also important to note that unauthorised modification of iOS is a violation of the iOS Software License Agreement and because of this, Apple may deny service for an iPhone that has any unauthorised software installed.”
