Facetime not respecting the “contacts only” setting in Screentime
I have Screen Time enabled on my child’s iPad under their own Apple ID via Family Sharing. Communication Limits are set to “Contacts Only,” and only a small, parent-approved contact list is saved on the device. Despite this, the iPad just received a FaceTime call from an unknown number — one that is not saved in the contacts list and have no prior communication history.
This behavior contradicts the intended purpose of “Contacts Only” limits under Screen Time and creates unnecessary security and privacy concerns. FaceTime calls from unknown contacts should be blocked completely — not just silenced or briefly displayed — when Communication Limits are engaged.
Please improve Screen Time by ensuring that FaceTime fully honors the “Contacts Only” setting and blocks any FaceTime attempts from unknown numbers or Apple IDs.
Thank you.
