How to change HomeKit from iPad hub to Apple TV box?

When I installed my hub in my iPod mini, I walked by the mini carrying an old iPad. I guess it loaded automatically? Because that’s what ive bee using to control my light switches, etc for the last couple of years. Recently I’ve had a number of “no response “ reports from my switches. I understand I can use my Apple TV box as a hub, but don’t know where to start

iPhone 12, iOS 18

To set the active Home Hub, do the following:

View and select a preferred home hub

  1. Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap or click the More button (three dots in a circle).
  3. Select Home Settings, then select Home Hubs & Bridges.
  4. Your active home hub appears at the top of the screen. Disable Automatic Selection to select a preferred home hub.
