Apple Intelligence not working on Mac Mini M4, Sequoia 15.3.2

I'm using a Mac Mini M4 with sequoia 15.3.2. I have Apple Intelligence and Siri switched on in the settings, language set to English (UK) in the Language and Region setting and the Siri setting, and I'm logged in to my apple account. Unfortunately, the Image Playground app is not installed and Siri is not giving any AI in its answers, just search results. Do you have any suggestions to get Apple Intelligence working? Thanks.

Many of the features of Apple Intelligence are, for now, limited to US English. Apple is expected to gradually roll them out for other languages.

FWIW, I am in Portugal, and I DO have the Image Playground Application. My language is set to US English.

As far as I remember, Image Playground is part of macOS Sequoia, not a separate installation or download.

It shows up in Applications, but it is really, like many of the Apple provided applications, stored in

/System/Applications.

To check is Apple Intelligence has downloaded

System Setting >> General >> Storage

Scroll down to macOS >>

The icon where the arrow is pointing to >> click on it

It should present something like in below image

Apple Intelligence and the exact GB used may vary

In my case 4.8 GB above and beyond the space used by the Operating System 15.3.2

Also using the M4 Mac Mini since day of release Oct 28, 2024

Apple's " Image Playground " was installed prior to upgrading the Sequoia 15.3.2

I just do not remember the exact version of Sequoia

Why it was not installed on your computer running the same machine and same version of Sequoia - I do not Know but seems rather Uniques and Localized to your setup

As for Apple Intelligence working or not working

This is a personal view - it is a work in progress and emphasize In Progress

This is odd, when I list the contents of the /System/Applications/ directory in a terminal window, the Image Playground app is there. But when I look at launchpad or the Applications in a finder window, the Image Playground app is not there.

It may have gotten hidden somehow...

Try this: press Command-Shift-A to open the Applications folder in Finder, then press Command-Shift-period to have Finder show hidden files. Does Image Playground then appear in grey?

I wonder if there are some restrictions due to your location.
