When I go into image playground app, it says: Apple intelligence required open the image playground to join the image creation waitlist. I have my Apple intelligence on and the new Siri works well and all but image playground doesn’t.

I had the same issue but managed to resolve it today. First I reset network settings, which includes a few restarts. (Issue still there). Then I changed language under Settings>Apple Intelligence to English US, and changed region in Language and Region Settings to United States. After a few minutes Image Playground was working. Once it was working I changed language and region settings back to English UK/United Kingdom… all working now. Hopefully this works for you too!
