Can I Edit The Artist Image in iTunes/Music?

It turns out you can. If the artist icon in your Music app or iTunes has a placeholder icon, make sure the artist info matches exactly how it appears in the iTunes Store. A simple change from "and" to an & can sync the icon to a picture rather than an icon.

Artist icons not showing This question was asked about a year ago. No solution was provided. artist icons not showing - Apple Community I have the same problem. Many artist pictures are missing. See screenshot below. Every CD in my library has album art. It is all custom. That is, I got the album art, added it to the music files and then imported the music files to the Music app. However, despite having album art for every album still many artist images are missing. I cannot see a pattern that would allow me to determine why there is an artist picture for one and not for another artist. I have many albums that were matched. However, even among them there are artists with no artist picture. Currenently I have "Automatic update artwork" disabled because I am afraid that the Music app will mess up my custom album art. I am afraid the Music app will replace existing album art. Having this option unselected may block adding artist picture for a new album that I add to the Music library. However, I just very recently unselected that option. And the missing artist picture problem I have since a long time. What would really be helpful is some information about what "Automatic update artwork" does and does not do. Information beyond the one sentence that is given in the Music app Preferences. And how artist pictures are placed. What is the process the Music app goes through to select and place an artist's picture? What could go wrong in this process? What can one do to maximize the chance that an artist's picture is found and placed.

Artwork totally messed up after syncing itunes library to new 14 Pro Max I got the new 14 Pro Max and after i synced my playlists from Itunes, all of the artwork is completely messed up even including my purchased tracks. I have tried deleting the music from the phone and then re-syncing but nothing really changes. All the artwork on my iTunes library is correct. I remember having this same problem a few years ago but i can't remember how it eventually got sorted? Any help would be appreciated thanks
