Why is my AirTag beeping unexpectedly?

I put a new air tag on my dog 2 days ago and today it is beeping randomly.

AirTag beeping after battery replacement My AirTag batteries were getting low and I replaced them. Now when I go grab like my keys with the AirTag it beeps a few times. What did I miss? Air tags started beeping all of a sudden Hi, i bought a pack of 4 air tags about 6 months ago. they have been all paired up & working fine. I have on in my car, my keys, my bike & my work van. All this time my work iphone has never alerted me that an air tag was following it when in my work van, i just assumed this was because it my own phone that is paired to the tag was always with it ?? It has now started alerting me every day on my work phone that this tag is tracking me. It has also started beeping every morning as soon as i start driving the van. The one in my car is also beeping as soon as i get in the car now & when i pick my keys up the one on my keys now beeps at me too. Any ideas why this has just started happening? Not sure if its relevant or just coincidence but this started after i loaned my bike to my brother & he told me he got an alert on his phone than an airtag was tracking him, he just ignored it as he knew it was mines.
