AirTag beeping after battery replacement

My AirTag batteries were getting low and I replaced them. Now when I go grab like my keys with the AirTag it beeps a few times. What did I miss? It still shows up in my phone and I can still ping it from my phone just supper annoying to have it beep anytime I pick something up.

It would be normal for the AirTag to beep once when replacing its battery, but not randomly.

Some possible reasons are that the replacement battery is either nearly depleted or has a bitterant coating on it.
