The creation date of video files doesnt follow when copying Imovie Library

I used to ingest my videos from different devices using Imovie for years.

I also have an external disk for back up on which I copy the content of the "original media" imovie package folder.

Those files appeared with the right creation date and time in the finder with my macbook running with high Sierra.

I have bought a new macbook with Sonoma, and I realise that the behaviour of Imovie or finder, I don't know which one, is different. My video files in the imovie package have no more the creation date but I guess it is now the imported date, same as the modified date, that is shown.

It is upsetting because I use those files for different purposes outside IMovie.

If I open this library with my MB running Sonoma and I copy some events from this library to the Sonoma imovie library, the files imported and consolidated appeared to have the right dates inside IMovie but the video creation date have disappeared inside the finder when I look into the original media package folder, I can unfortunately see only the imported date of the media. My MB running High Sierra keep the media creation date in the finder I do the same operation.

I don't understand what has changed between this 2 OS.

I guess I will have to do my video importations only with my old MB in order to preserve the creation date inside de IMovie package folder. That is a pity!

Any clue?
