Play counts not incrementing on Apple Music 1.5.2.56 for Sequoia 15.3.1

When I play music from my library, the play counts are not incrementing. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a solution?

Apple Music stops playing music when adding song to Library Just as the title says. This has been a known issue for over 5 years. If you are currently playing a song in Apple Music on Mac OS and add the song to your Library, regardless of the version or update, the program will stop playing the song as if nothing was ever playing in the first place. It seems that this issue has been severely overlooked for a long time and I'm wondering when this problem will be addressed.

Apple Music Streaming not working on Mac I use Apple Music on a mac pro, M1 2020, os Sonoma 14.2.1. Apple Music is updated. I keep having the same problem: I can play music downloaded in my library but can't stream music I would find using the search. The search works well but when I click on play, there's just nothing happening not even a friendly error message. The most frustrating bug... My Apple Music subscription works very fine on my iPhone. No problem there so I guess it is about the mac software. Any body has a recommendation? I am very very fed up with Apple Music and really regret switching back from Spotify...
