Whatsapp chat remains highlighted

After ios 18 update the last chat entered in whats app remains highlighted…this is happening from 2 months…apple support doesn’t help nor the WhatsApp support the chatbot in whats app support doesn’t have any answer it has the worst customer support…does anyone facing the same issue and has any solution? I have attached the image for reference
