The law has not been repealed. Under the U.S. system of government, presidents cannot simply nullify laws passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court simply by issuing an Executive Order.

The deadline for Byte Dance to divest itself of Chinese investment has been extended. The fines for companies like Apple and Google if they allow people to download the apps are still in place.

There is a reason why TikTok is banned.

It is a "foreign adversary controlled application." ByteDance, Ltd. and TikTok did not use the 270 days after the time that the relevant law went into effect to carry out a qualified divestiture. They challenged the law, and took their challenge all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, which found the law to be Constitutional.

To comply with the law, Apple and Google both had to pull the app from their app stores.

If you disagree with the law, take it up with your Senators and Representative. It is Congress who would have the power to repeal or change the law. Or if you disagree with ByteDance, Ltd's and TikTok's failure to divest TikTok from direct or indirect Chinese Government control, take it up with them and see if you can get them to consider carrying out a qualified divestiture.

Blaming Apple or Google for the ban is just "shooting the messenger", and will not change the message.

No help will be given from anyone, especially from major tech companies such as Apple and Google or else they could face ruinous fines and potential legal liability for allowing TikTok back on their App Stores. TikTok is currently banned in the US. We do not know if or when it will return for download.

In the meantime, if you really want to you can still watch TikTok on the web.

That is because the ban was recently implemented. iPhones with TikTok already installed can still watch it.
