Lloyds bank app crashes after update to iOS 18.2.1

Hi there I have read that people have problems with the first iteration of iOS 18 and their banking apps. I updated to 18.2.1 but had problems doing so and had to restore my iPhone from a backup. Now I cannot get onto the Lloyds bank app at all on my phone, whereas it works perfectly well on my iPad.

Anybody able to recommend a fix? I have tried deleting and reinstalling, deleting my cookies, website history and turning off the phone and turning it back on.

It's too much of a coincidence to be blamed on the bank security-it only happened after I had to restore the iPhone and the same app on the iPad is working fine. It must be something that I did when restoring, so galling!

iPad has a different iOS from iPhone and iPad doesn’t have NFC to do in-store purchases. So, iPad is irrelevant.

VPN usage is tied to credit card and bank fraud. Banks lose billions every year and some are more proactive than others. This type of thing is becoming more and more common. I can’t definitively say it’s the cause. Try resetting your network settings and see if the app will install and function properly.

Reset your network settings

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

Sorry not to reply yesterday, I have now spoken at length to both Apple and Lloyds, at a cost of about an hour's lost income. Apple told me it was a problem with Lloyds, though I found that I could not log onto Wise either. I reset my network settings, losing every single wifi password (probably about 50 current ones as I travel for work).

That cured the issue with Wise, but Lloyds still crashing. Lloyds say Apple are aware of an issue affecting Lloyds and other Apps, and that Lloyds have sent a fix into Apple but they have not incorporated it into a new version of IOS 18.2 yet. So I recommend you hold off updating your phone if you ca do so!

Did you find a solution please? Mine is the same, brand new phone and just exits as soon as you enter data. I can log in via the web. Worked on old phone until I did IOS update and now that won’t work either.
