You are not following the news. The law fines Apple, Google, and Microsoft $5,000 for each user that it allows to download the app from the App Store and it has NOT been overturned. It does not fine them for a previous download of the app or web access. Congress has not overturned the law and the Supreme Court has not ruled whether an Executive Order can eliminate the fines imposed by the law. We have 3 branches of Government, Congress, the Supreme Court and the Executive Branch each with their own checks and balances. If it was not that way it would be a Dictatorship.

Still, any legal shield Trump promises by way of executive action will not hold up in court, Rozenshtein argues.

"This is not a power the president has, and he cannot wish it into existence merely by saying something and calling it an executive order," he said.

Apple doesn’t need to follow the news, fake or otherwise. Apple needs to follow the laws of the nations in which they operate. Fortunately, they are doing just that.

That is because TikTok is currently banned by the US government. We do not know if or when it will return for download.

"Other phones like android can get that app."

And where did you read that? Apple and Google have both removed the app from their App Store to avoid hefty fines and comply with the law, some say they could be fined as much as 850 billion dollars.

Tik Tok is banned in the United States as per U.S. law.

Because the law fines Apple, Google, and Microsoft for allowing the app to be downloaded in their App Stores. The law has NOT been overturned. Congress has not overturned it and the Supreme Court has not ruled that an Executive Order could eliminate the fines that are currently in place. To be clear it is not available in the Google Play store either. The fines imposed on these companies is only for new downloads in the App Store, so web access is fine and also if you had previously downloaded the app, it can continue to be used.

That was merely a statement made by him, and was not put into law.
