iOS 18.2.1 wifi connectivity issues with iPhone 15 and iPad Pro 2nd generation

Since updating my iPhone 15 and iPad Pro 2nd Generation to iOS 18.2.1, I have wifi issues. My wifi/interent connection is very slow on my web browser, streaming apps, social media, etc. Doesn't matter if I'm using my home wifi, school wifi, using 5G data, same problem on all. It's not my internet service provider as my windows laptop works fine. I forced restart both devices but it did not fix the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or, does Apple need to do another update?

Having the same issue since updating to 18.2.1 this morning. WiFi comes and goes, several times PER MINUTE. It’s like it’s on a blinker. I have reset Network Settings. Still happening.

Actually I did have a problem after updating, regarding on Wi-Fi connectivity, ever since iOS, iPadOS, 18.2 and MacOS 15.2, not the same but similar. Where the WiFi would disconnect out of the bloom every once in a while, and oh boy it has been frustrating. It always seems to disconnect on the 5GHz band and never on the 2.4GHz though.

Devices affected: MacBook Air M2 & iPad Pro 11” 2nd gen

Has anyone find a fix for it? I have already tried resetting the network settings

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

I have a similar problem. My iPad Pro 11inch 3rd generation. About 6.00am every morning, sometimes just before sometimes just after. I get a pop up saying I have no WiFi, about 2 seconds later it’s back on. Only the iPad is affected. I have a iPhone 16 pro laying beside me, Apple Watch on my wrist, echo’s show as my bedside clock and a Robert’s internet radio. None of the other items are affected. So somebody tell me what’s going on. I take no notice because it doesn’t really interfere with my reading while have my morning cuppa. But would just like to know. Before the so called experts tell me I’m an idiot, this is my fourth iPad (third iPad Pro) always updated I’m now on iPadOS 18.2.1. Thanks for any help. Al

IPhone 13 - After recent update to 18.2.1 it has become impossible for WIFI to function. Also the phone itself often shuts down without reason. I have reset network several times. turning off and restarting. I use no VPN. WIFI simply . will not turn on. NO MY DEVICE WAS NOT JAIL BROKEN. The latest update did not enhance my user experience, nor did it fix bugs the latest iteration only created an issue making the phone less usable. Updates often do create bugs. Also reading other blogs concerning IOS issues many other users are reporting the same defects of 18.2.1

I have the same issues with my iPhone 13, Safari takes ages to load, Apple Music stops playing in the middle of songs and Siri answers me with “An error has occurred”. These issues also affected my iPad Pro 11in 4th gen, and I’ve tried different networks with same result.

I’ve done network resets, resetting all setings, factory reset and even a full DFU restore using iTunes and setting it up as new. Nothing has fixed the problem and I’m so desperate. Starting January 2025 and all begun to glitch very often.

I’ve talked to them via chat, phone, they escalated my case to a superior support team for further investigation, but they haven’t called me back since I’ve contacted them in 3 weeks.

No clue if this is a joke, a scam or if simply they’re unwilling to help.

Taking my iPhone to an Apple Store isn’t between my possibilities, since I’m needing it for my daily life
