Music from the playlist Interrupts on HomePod mini

I have continual problems with my HomePod minis. The latest crazy thing is music playing from my playlist will be cut off in the middle of a song or interupted in middle.

The mini HomePods were purchased in 2022. I have consistently experience difficulty in using them. I have two separate HomePod minis in separate rooms. Are the newer HomePods better?

I use Apple Music and when playing a playlist, the HomePod often plays the first few seconds of a song and then goes to another song and does it again. It is random in that there seems to be no patter with how many songs it does this for before playing a full song. Happens with both HomePod and minis. HomePods skipping songs after playing a few seconds My HomePods are randomly playing 5-30 seconds of a song then skipping to another song. This only happens when a shortcut automation starts an Apple playlist. When I manually select a playlist in Apple Music and cast it to the HomePod, it doesn’t skip. If I ask Siri on the HomePod to play a playlist, it doesn’t skip. Only when an automation triggers a playlist. This has been happening since the update to ios18/homepod 18.

HomePod cutting off songs and rebeginning follow song This problems happened with HomePosOS 18. When I use my iPhone to let my HomePod (first gen) Stereo pair play an album unregularly the song stops a few seconds before it was ended, then there is a silcence for about 2 seconds, then the next song begins for about 1 second, it stops for 1 second and then it begins again and continues playing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I hope it was fixed with HomePodOS 18.1 but it is not.
