This problems happened with HomePosOS 18. When I use my iPhone to let my HomePod (first gen) Stereo pair play an album unregularly the song stops a few seconds before it was ended, then there is a silcence for about 2 seconds, then the next song begins for about 1 second, it stops for 1 second and then it begins again and continues playing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I hope it was fixed with HomePodOS 18.1 but it is not.

If you search Reddit, you'll see this has been a problem on and off over the last several years. Sometimes updates fix it, and then it breaks again. It's the ONLY reason I want my homepod minis (to play music) lol. Please fix this, Apple
Yes still happening here too. This is so depressing and Apple should really be very much ashamed for not fixing this serious issue which maken playing albums on the HomePod a real drama. I am so angry!!!
Yeah, it's still happening on mine with the update too. I have tried using the music that's built into the Home App and I have tried starting on apple music on my phone and then bouncing it to the pods. It's a little mysterious how the Home App even has separate music, but whatever. The cutting off of songs does feel worse somehow lately. It's really frustrating. APPLE, please listen to us.
I already made a ticket for this problem at Apple's Support page. But no replies. Not even a confirmation. So depressing...
It’s still happening to me with 18.2 iOS update. Actually seems a bit worse. I’m really disappointed in Apple with this after dropping $600 on a pair of HomePods for music. Sound is great in stereo, but the clipping of songs when paying for Apple Music subscription is nutz. I’m thinking of testing out Spotify now.
