They can’t read a thermometer at Apple either. They are more than 12 degrees off all temps for the area. Just do yourself a favor and download an app with people that can get it right at least half the time.
Apple weather information comes from a variety of sources: Feature availability and data sources in the Weather app - Apple Support. It's probable one of those sources is incorrect.
The Apple weather app is horrible. Why is weather app completely off and wrong all the time. They are calling for possible rain and the app is saying 5 to 6 inches of snow.
How would Apple monitor every weather location in the world for a given location at a given time for data accuracy? Apple depends on the non-Apple-owned weather data sources for that accuracy and as you well know, that isn't always accurate.
The best advice I can offer is if you are unhappy with the weather data presented by Apple's weather application, then it may be prudent to use the National Weather Service's website for your location and hope for improved forecasting and current weather conditions. In the U.S. I use weather.gov and not the Apple weather application. Having said that, I live five miles from the airport and it may be sunny overhead and there can be a small raging thunderstorm at the airport.
