Pages app issues on new MacBook Air
I just bought a new MacBook Air and a “dummies” manual, almost specifically to get the Pages app up and running.
When neither the manual, Apple help, or YouTube videos on the topic provided the answers to what should have been simplicity I called the Apple help line, twice. They did help, thought I was set and ready to go, recommenced setting up a CV off a pages template and now it’s more massive pitfalls…….
Huge gaps between paragraphs, blank pages appearing out of nowhere, font changes that should be simple just causing grief, for god’s sake Apple is meant to be east and intuitive.
I then yielded and almost signed up for a CV app then realised that I’m probably just handing information over to unknowns.
I want to stay with pages, I hope to dedicate plenty of time to becoming a “power user” as the year goes on…….. at the moment I just want to put it out there my feelings are that Apple help is massively deficient and makes too many assumptions on the skill levels of users.
So I’m looking at employing a geek to help me out with the short term issues and getting this CV sorted but really, there’s little doubt that Cupertino has heard this story a million times but still leaves the novice in a horrendous bog of frustration and many times, verbal expletives.
Thankyou
