video autoplay not working in Photos

In Photos, video autoplay is not working. I have made sure that autoplay is selected in settings. I have restarted both the photos app and the M1 Macbook Pro running OS 15.2 I have to manually run each video in a saved album that I would like to step thru to show to friends. Strangely, video works fine with the same album on my M2 iPad running latest iOS.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.2

I'm having the same issue. I've checkbox "Autoplay Videos and Live Photos" selected in settings, but autoplay is not working.
