macOS iPhone Mirroring Not Connecting

When I connect my phone it says, “Unable to Connect to iPhone” My iPhone is on iOS 18.2, and Bluetooth/Wifi are on. How do I fix this and get this feature working?

When you try to connect, the IPhone locks, and the program on the mac asks you to unlock it. After completing these steps, the connection process begins, but the IPhone locks up again and the connection is interrupted. Rebooting, changing the region, disconnecting devices, and reconnecting did not help. When you remove the password from the IPhone, the IPhone mirroring function starts an endless connection to the phone. iPhone Mirroring Not Working for Anyone Else? Hi everyone, I’m having trouble getting iPhone Mirroring to work. I have a 2021 MacBook Pro 14-inch with the M1 Pro (16GB RAM) running Sequoia 15.0, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 18.0. Both meet all the requirements for iPhone Mirroring. When I launch the iPhone Mirroring app on my Mac, I see the intro screen that says “Your iPhone on Your Mac,” then I click ‘Continue.’ The screen briefly flashes “Unlock Phone,” but then it switches to “Unable to Connect iPhone” with the message: “Make sure ‘My iPhone’ is powered on and near this Mac, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.” I’ve restarted both devices multiple times and tried again, but still no luck. Clicking ‘Try Again’ hasn’t resolved the issue. Both devices are powered on, near each other, and have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any tips on how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Same here - seems to be a fairly widespread issue. I have an iPhone 13 iOS 18.3.1 and a week old 16" MB M4 Pro with OS 15.3.1. Bluetooth is on both, same WiFi network, same Apple IDs. It can't get past the 'Timed Out connecting' screen. Great sales pitch. A shame it is so flawed.

If I can get an audience with Apple and get it fixed I'll post the fix here.
