How do I fix iPhone mirroring loop requiring locked phone?

Iphone mirroring keeps asking me to unlock my phone, then tells me it can't connect unless locked

As said above. Both iphone 14 and macbook pro 2019 have the latest ios/macos loaded. When I click to mirror the phone. My macbook asks that I unlock to connect. So I do that and click connect. Then my macbook says. Can not connect unless phone is locked. And around in circles we go.

Mirroring—

Click on Settings from the menu bar

click on "ask every time", not the auto authorization

Restart your Mac, go back to your Settings> Lock Screen and the psswd field>set psswd requirement to "never"
