FaceTime Disconnects on iPad 10th Gen

Everytime I use my iPad 10th gen with FaceTime it will eventually disconnect. Sometimes it take 20 minutes, sometimes it disconnects in 30 seconds. Is very consistent and it doesn't matter who I FaceTime with or the device they are using. This all started with the release of iOS 18 in September. I have spent over 12 hours with Apple Support. They have been no help and they have never called me back as promised. I have sent them over 50MB of log files. On 12/20 I when to the Genious BAr and got an iPad 10th egn replacement. Same problem. The common factor is the iPad 10th gen and iOS 18.x.

Anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue?

I installed iOS 18.2.1 on my iPad. I then did some research in the communitiy group and found an answer that seems to work.

  1. Open FaceTime
  2. Swipe down from the upper left corner and open the Control Center
  3. On the top center locate and open "FaceTime Controls"
  4. Turn off "Center Stage"

While I have not done exhaustive testing, I have found that if "Center Stage" is off FaceTime does NOT disconnect.
