Iphone12 connects to iTunes, but ipad2 doesn’t.

Hello,

I have an iPhone 12 mini running iOS 18.1.1 and this connects to a newly installed iTunes on a windows 10 pc ok.

But my iPad 2 (8th generation) running iOS 18.2.1 is not recognised by the windows10 pc.

i have checked the ports, tried a different cable and tried a different windows pc,

all without connecting.

When I connect the iPad by cable, the apple mobile device driver isn’t shown for the iPad, but is shown when my iPhone 12 successfully connects. There is just an unidentifierable usb connection for the iPad.

i fear I have a hardware fault on the iPad.

any solutions please?
