Can I use Apple Intelligence on my iPad Air (4th gen)?

The fourth generation iPad Air has an A14 Bionic CPU - and as such does not support Apple Intelligence.

The only models of iPad that support Apple Intelligence have either an M-series or A17 Pro CPU:

• iPad Pro M4
• iPad Air M2
• iPad mini (A17 Pro)

Apple Intelligence requirements for iPhone, iPad, and Mac

• iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max; any iPad with A17 Pro or M1 and later; Mac with M1 or later
• iOS 18.1 or later, iPadOS 18.1 or later, or macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later
• Device language and Siri language set to a supported language
• 7 GB of storage

Supported languages

Apple Intelligence is available in English (Australia), English (Canada), English (Ireland), English (New Zealand), English (South Africa), English (UK), and English (US) in most regions around the world. In April, a software update will deliver expanded language support, with more coming throughout the year. Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and other languages will be supported.

After you get started with Apple Intelligence, it will continue to work when you travel to other regions around the world.
