Keyboard shortcuts not working in Keynote

I'm on Sequoia 15.1.1 using the latest version of Keynote. Not all keyboard shortcuts are working, specifically trying zoom in and out. I'm working on a huge widescreen and really need this shortcut. What should be zoom out, command + <, opens the keynote settings. Zoom in does nothing. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix? It's really slowing me down!
