Soft Return (Shift Return) in the latest version of Keynote seems to be Broken

When in a bulleted list (or any block of text), Shift-Return is supposed to make a non-paragraph breaking line return. When attempting to use this in the latest version of Keynote (13.2), it's forcing a hard return. Anyone else having the same issue, know another keyboard shortcut or work around?

Often when formatting lists, I need to break a bullet in half and line break (without a new paragraph/bullet starting). This bug is messing that ability up.

Please help!

Really dislike this change. I use Line Breaks in Keynote all the time and it's going to take a long time to change my muscle memory to a new (and less convenient) shortcut. I hope they change it back; totally unneeded change.

Every other app on my Mac utilizes shift+return to create a line break. Apple changing this keyboard shortcut to control+return is more evidence in my book that Apple's software teams increasingly have no idea what they're doing (yes, that makes me sound like an old man… but at age 40, having used Apple computers since I was 6 years old, I kind of am one). An utterly pointless change that's out-of-touch with how pro users get work done.

I am really sorry to say, but Apple broke the SHIFT+RETURN soft line break. I now have to use CTRL+RETURN and that – at first – looks really ugly, because the cursor is placed indented to the latest horizontal position. Once you start typing it "jumps" to the correct left margin. But Apple, please, fix this! It feels like a bug and I'd bet my panties that it is.

I just fixed my situation. There's no way I'm allowing Apple to force me to use two hands instead of one hand to create a LINE BREAK. Shift-Return to create a line-break is a universal keystroke, and programmers should not be messing with that perfect key stroke.

Solution, I reinstalled Pages v.13.1

Yeah, back to shift-return for the line-break.

I will never migrate to 13.2.
