Unable to install macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 on my Mac mini

Need some help updating Mac mini. Using software update to install Sequoia 15.1.1. Agreement details appear ok, go to enter password in the system preferences authentication drop down and it wont accept my opassword. Password is correct and restarted

If I use the software update option my log on password isn't recognised and via app store it accept my apple Id but won't install as says I/m not the owner. Im set-up as Admin. Everything else works and i can update apps no problem. Additional info Its a Mac Mini M1 2020. I have a feeling the migration of data didn't work properly or some conflict with a security update.
