After updating to iOS I'm having problem with my podcasts episodes.
Very often it happens to me that after finishing actual episode it automatically marks very next episode as read unless I have read it. Then I have to mark that episode as unread to return it to Latest Episodes.
Anyone with similar expirience? Is it a bug?

Maybe your phone is syncing to another that hasn't been updated to iOS 18.1
iOS 18.1 fixed it for me. I've played more than a dozen podcasts since the update and nothing unexpectedly marked as played.
Fixed in iOS 18.1 according to Mac Rumors.
"iOS 18.1 also fixes several other bugs, including a Podcasts issue that could cause unplayed episodes to be marked as played"
Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be fixed in iOS 18.1.
It is still removing unplayed episodes from Most recent tab unless it is played.
