Search feature stopped working completely in iPhone 16 Pro

Hi guys, it’s been a few days since I started experiencing this weird bug where the search feature stopped working completely in many aspects of iOS (Spotlight, App Library, Settings, Photos, Notes). As you can see in the photo, Spotlight is completely unresponsive.

I’m on my 16 Pro (iOS 18.0.1) and this bug emerged on its own, it wasn’t there at the beginning.

I tried a few solutions (hard restart, resetting settings, changing language and area to force a re index) but none worked. I was hoping you could provide me with some guidance. I’m willing to reset my iPhone as last resort, I’m just wondering if there was something less drastic I could try first.
