It takes up to ten seconds for system to reveal apps when I search for them. On latest iOS 16 release. Slow at least since upgrading to 16, possibly longer.
can I rebuild spotlight index or similar cure ? Or run diagnostic test to understand why it is much more sluggish than son’s iPhone 12 on same (latest) software version

ResTART doesn’t Help, sadly. Also tried all the other suggestions. Plenty memory good network etc. it’s like the locally stored search index is corrupted. Can it be rebuilt like on a Mac ?
Search on iPhone 13 Pro Max is very slow
