My iPhone 14 pro max has been charging very slow since the IOS 18 update. I had it on 4% at 3am and it’s now 10am and has only changed to 80%. As you can see in the photo in orange. Original Apple cable and fast charger.
I tried a few things like closing down app’s and deactivated 80% charging still same thing.
I have also updated to 18.1 same problem.

** Found out about the orange..just means your charger isnt as fast as 20W. The red occurred when IOS 18 finally worked its way to battery. I am keeping my current charger and ignoring the orange. Hasnt been red since that one time and my battery seems to be holding a charge as normal.
The newer battery technologies require higher wattage chargers to fast charge. Older iPhones with older batteries will still fast charge with lower wattage chargers. But if you buy a new iPhone, expect to buy new accessories too.
There’s nothing wrong with slow charging and it’s better for the overall life/health of your battery. My older iPhones are still charging fine on their older chargers with iOS 18.X.X
Seems to me Apple purposely slowed down charging with the new update to make us buy new cables or phones. It's a joke that this is allowed, and that the Gov doesn't put and end to it. How much money do they need!
i got the same issue for my iphone 13. I used original cable or charger. But it's still say slow charge. Please help, we're curious about the problem after the ios 18

I don't see a fix for this. Does anyone already have a fix? Did apple reply with a solution somewhere?
