Suddenly MacBook air M1 dead while using it normally.

I was using my macbook and youtube videk was ongoing. Suddenly it got off and never got on again. I visited service centre they told me that motherboard is dead and need to replace. The warranty was just over 3 months back. So I am the victim of apple robbery. I need a replacement of my laptop as it is not fallen even one single time also no damage in any sense.

You’re not alone buddy😛

recently I tried updating my MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14 inch to macOS Sequoia while updating the screen turned blank and nothing showing up it doesn’t even charge,

took it to service centre they said the logic board and Touch ID aren’t working anymore,

wondering is it just a scam to loot money from us or is it apple think using high quality hardware which breaks after 2 years of usage ( Planned obsolescence) to extort 🤔

Which country are you in? There are consumer laws in the UK which make the shop liable rather than the manufacturer for your situation where the fault occurs three months after the 1 year manufacturer warranty expires. There’s also an EU minimum of two years. You should be able to get a repair from the shop which should include an Apple Store. Unfortunately they will still try to get out of helping you to get the laptop repaired.
