Is there settings to control ads on Apple TV?

What is with this "More from iTunes" advertisements after watching things like purchased movies on AppleTV? One advertisement took me off Apple TV & loaded Disney+

Is there any way to get rid of this?

Dismiss the interruption? That’s disgusting for me to read & you to post! You modified what I posted about how a Family Friend DIED during production and because of Apple’s minimization I can't read his name anymore!

You’re suggesting to "select the minimized movie and continue watching the end credits." I'm not making reference to another IATSE Crew member or Cast where during regular credits they can all be seen. I'm referring to how he was honored for the work that he put into the production and that because of Apple minimizing shortly before the complete end of credits, I can no longer read or see how the his name.

I’m absolutely disgusted by this, as it interrupts the end of movies and shows. Even if it’s just a studio logo, I want to see that fade out full screen and not have pictures of something unrelated fill it suddenly. I stopped using Netflix for this very reason, it’s unconscionable to do this on material we’ve PURCHASED.

It seems to be doing this when about 15 seconds is left. Recently on Twitter/X, someone posted a video of how it ruined the ending of the original “Psycho” which has no ending credits. The screen shrunk right in the middle of the last shot of Anthony Perkins and showed a promo for The Big Bang Theory! The ending of that movie was ruined for anyone who may have been seeing it for the first time.

I’m sorry for buying an Apple TV unit at this point, I have several different streaming devices as each has their pros and cons, but I will NEVER buy or rent another movie from Apple after this. (I have not used Amazon’s service in about ten years as they have also been intruding on content.) I currently subscribe to Apple Music but will be switching to Tidal, as I don’t want to one day hear a DJ talking over the end of a song I’m listening to or have it crossfade into something unrelated.

You can always click the window every time it does this, but depending on your connection that can result in the quality dipping and you having to try egregiously hard - scrolling through various points in the movie - to get it looking crisp again, even though that will surely mean having the screen minimised back down, thus rendering the challenge even more difficult. Media/tech companies like Apple won't stop until everything is content and nobody matters. I'm tempted to bombard Apple with complaints about this in every mode of communication possible as well! This is a betrayal against cinema and those of us who paid to watch it on Apple devices!

Anyone reading this:

Apple Support Supervisors informed me that if the "More from iTunes" attempts to switch to a third party app like Disney+, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc. automatically, your encounter should be reported to directly to Apple by calling Apple Support don't report it via feedback. This is an Engineering problem & needs to be filled as a Corporate Complaint (you may need to speak to a supervisor).

Also if your AppleTV restarts & for some reason doesn't show Apple's icon but a different company's icon instead this is also an Engineering problem & report this back to them.

Amazon Prime's appeared instead of Apple upon restart & a Support Supervisor was asking for the day & time it occurred to file a corporate complaint.

Believe me, I did that. General feedback forms have often been met with silence though, I filed a lot of feedback with Disney Plus about their awful interface and have only been ignored. I don’t know why companies would even have feedback forms when they just ignore them, all that does is give me a lesser impression of their company.

Apple will be getting printed letters from me about this though also. (That doesn’t always work either, I’ve sent many to Netflix only to be ignored. I was an early user of theirs but now I will never do business with them again. The way they’ve been intruding on end credits seems to be something other services strive to copy now.)

Thanks to Apple, I Cannot Read his name & will only watch on disc now!

You can always dismiss the interruption, select the minimized movie and continue watching the end credits.

Feedback doesn't work

Feedback for making changes are taken as suggestions. Some will be applied and others will be dismissed. All will be evaluated, but not all can be applied.
