Call and Video greyed out on iMessage contact [SOLVED]
I figured out why call and video might be greyed out in iMessage ( when tapping on the contacts picture and bringing up contact details).
This happened to me somewhat randomly the other day. For some reason iMessage started messaging my wife to her Apple ID email instead of her phone number. I had to go into the Contacts app and remove her iCloud email from her contact entry, save it, then I went into iMessage and confirmed the call and video buttons or active like they should be.
after that I just edited her contact info from within iMessage and re-added the iCloud email address and everything‘s working fine now.
Just putting this here in case anyone else has this issue as I found no solutions for it online.
