iOS 17.4 iCloud tabs not clearing

Since I updated to iOS 17.4, I have had an issue with iCloud tabs. In prior iOS version, iCloud tabs worked flawlessly.

Now though, if I close all tabs and close Safari, instead my devices showing no open tabs on either device, it shows the tab(s) with the website was last viewed. There is now no way to clear the tabs.

Unfortunately, iOS 17.4.1 did not fix this issue. Please fix this soon, Apple.

Hello all,

I've had the same issue, where Safari tabs from previous months on my Mac were still apearing on my iCloud tabs on my iphone.

I've tried clearing website data, both on my iphone and Mac, closing Safari, restarting. These didn't work on their own.

What worked for me was un-syncing Safari from iCloud:

  1. Clear Safari website data, on your Mac, iphone and other devices sharing your iCloud account. Close them.
  2. On your iphone, Settings, go to your Apple ID / iCloud / Apps Using iCloud / Safari, and untoggle it. Confirm your data to be removed from your iphone. Wait a minute
  3. Toggle Safari syncing back on
  4. Open Safari on your iphone and wait a few minutes whilst it syncs. Your iCloud tabs should now mirror the ones from your other devices and should be as current.

Problem solved for me. I hope it helps you all
