Music column browser showing non-matching genres and artists after upgrading to macOS 14.3.1

Music column browser is no longer excluding non-matching genres, artists, and albums when I filter.

This started after I upgraded to OS 14.3.1 yesterday.

For instance, if I filter for Tom Petty, Music selects 45 Tom Petty songs, but the column browser shows my whole media library - i.e. thousands of artists and albums (see below). Can I request a bug fix?

I've had a chance to replicate this now. An unwelcome change. Use Feedback - Apple Music - Apple to let Apple know you'd like it changed back.

Try holding down Option+Cmd as you launch Music to open it in its own safe mode. This may sometimes perform some internal housekeeping on the library which in turn might help with this issue.
