Swiping right on instagram opens up a pre-populated message to a random company on WhatsApp?

I own an iPhone 13 mini and although it is in perfect condition and only 6 months old, I noticed this "bug".

I am casually scrolling on Instagram home page and if I want to swipe left to go to my messages, it instead directs my to WhatsApp to some random business chat account with automated messages. I hope this in not a kind of malware, because I will get super ******.People buy iPhones to are carefree for viruses and THIS happens? ......

I have the same problem too. It shows local ads. It resolves on its own sometimes. But it is always there. deleting the app and redownloading did not help. I suspect that this is a malware.

Hi, I too have had this problem for a few days, the problem is random, it doesn't always happen and I don't know how to solve it. Can anyone give an answer or rather, a solution?

Facebook/Meta has done a terrible job lately keeping their apps updated. You would need to contact them for further assistance. This is not malware, just bad software.
