Make changes to suit your needs—

Mail>Settings>General

Thank you leroydouglas. I've done that. And now I will wait and see if old unanswered mail appears at the top of the queue. If so, this might take some time, as the "future suggestions" only happen every couple months or more (even though i leave a lot of unanswered mail in my inbox for a long time). So i won't be able to let you know if your second idea worked. Let's hope so! thanks again!

Thank you for that. However when I went to my Mail>General, the Follow-Up Suggestion box was NOT checked. So why do I continue to get unanswered emails sent to the top of my inbox list? Any other suggestions, or could this be a glitch? Is anyone else having this problem?

Quit the Mail.app then relaunch it holding the Shift key down, let it run and compare you results...
