double click to install apps not coming up, asks for password

Me too! And it just randomly started doing it. I’ve done everything that I’ve read to do and nothing works. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal having to enter my password every time to download an app but that’s the whole purpose of Face ID lol ugh. If you figure anything out please post! I’ll do the same !

I have the exact same problem since switching from my trusted iPhone Xs (upgraded to iOS 17.2.1) to my new iPhone 15 Pro (also on iOS 17.2.1), I can't figure out which setting to tweak. I have followed the tips in a gazillion of posts but nothing budges. Frustrating.
