message notifications on iphone 15 pro

iPhone 15 Pro, running 17.2.1

iMessage notifications suddenly stop showing the contact name of who sent the message. It says "message" instead of who sent it. I then restart the phone and the phone shows the contact of the sender again.

I can't find this issue anywhere on the internet and am frustrated not being able to resolve this issue.

This is the first time this has happened on any iPhone. I've been with iPhone since the 1st generation.

This happens every day. I have to restart my phone multiple times daily.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I deleted all new apps since switching to my new 15 Pro and that didn't help.

The pics show whats happening as well as my notification settings for Messages.

Check Notification Settings:

Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages.
Make sure "Show Previews" is set to "Always" or "When Unlocked."
Enable "Badges" and "Banners."
Under "Show Alerts," select "Always" or "When Unlocked."

Same issue. Have all the correct things on within settings > messages > notifications. No notifications or previews show up.

When I use side button for silent everything but alarms silent. That’s good but I want vibrations but they’re not happening.

When I turn side button off I can hear keyboard clicks but not text messages. Still no vibrate.

Saw this online and am following its suggestions but no help: “Why is my iPhone not vibrating when I get a text IOS 15? Go to Settings. Go to Accessibility. Scroll down and go to Touch. Scroll down and look for Vibration and turn that on (to green)”

I am facing the same issue .. sometimes it’s so frustrating.. how do u explain someone that your top of the line iphone does not show notifications unless restarted.. and i have to do this process after 2-3 days ..

my iphone 7+ is still working better than 15 pro
