Apple TV 4K - Downgrade from tvOS 17.2 back to 17.1

I upgraded to tvOS 17.2 and it broke everything for me. I have an Apple TV 4K (2019), but my entire movie library is on an older laptop pre-Catalina. It all worked fine under tvOS 17.1, but 17.2 broke the connection. Does factory reset revert the tvOS to a previous version? I'm desperate to go back to 17.1.

No it will not revert back. It will remove all data and apps you added and all apps you’re signed into. It may fix some issues.

The best thing you might try is to sign out of iCloud default account, force quit the computer App and restart the Apple TV and sign back in and Turn on Home Sharing again to see if this resolves the issue
if on wifi - reboot the wifi.
