Is Apple Watch sleep tracking still awful?

While I haven’t had a no-tracking day in a while, even when it’s working it’s not very smart. It helps if I remember to change my sleep schedule to match when I turn out the light but if I read longer it records it was sleep anyway. Last night’s statistics has recorded sleep 8 hours and time in bed 7 hours. Pretty sure I wasn’t sleeping standing up for an hour. It also doesn’t record time sleeping if I take a nap. My Fitbit was sooooo much better at sleep tracking. Like another community member suggested a while back, do I need to wear a different define to accurately track sleep?
